Dear Visitors, Dear Guests,
My roots lie in Flanders, the Dutch speaking part of Belgium.
Before I made Brussels my home, I lived in Ypres, a small historic city in Belgium’s coastal region. When I was 18, I went to Brussels to study. I was instantly smitten by our capital city. I continued living in Ypres but spent almost every holiday roaming the streets of Brussels.
Slowly my thoughts turned to living and working in the capital. I sought and found a way to make a living out of my passion for the city: by running a bed & breakfast themed entirely around Brussels. In 2005, I welcomed my first guests.
Since then I have been living the time of my life: I live in one of the most vibrant cities of the world and receive guests from around the globe who come to share my passion for Brussels. Thanks to Brussels and thanks to my guests, I actually never stop travelling. The stories my city and my guests have to tell inspire me enormously, and the many contrasts I encounter along the way keep my mind forever alive.
Thank you for your visit.
Your Zinneke host,
